I have the "aspell" system installed (e.g. for Pidgin messenger), i have the open office suite installed, i have Firefox Browser installed, i have Thunderbird e-mail client installed - all are working quite nice with the dictionary that comes with that programs or was installed at some later point in time. I think on my PC there are more applications aware of dictionaries or already use them. the only "dumb ones" are currently MSIE with IEPro and Apple Safari - they do not cope with the already present support. Providing semi advanced install instructions for fixing that in millions of user PCs might not be the best possible answer to the problem. i hope you can improve your software rather than burden it onto the end users. re-using already installed components might be much smarter and simpler than any other approach. but even having a more integrated approach for updating the language set could be already a good help. regards, Alex.
