[edit] IE7Pro Spell Check support

To install OpenOffice.org spell checker dictionaries. Follow the steps below to add new dictionaries.

  • Download the Dictionary and extract to C:\Program Files\IEPro\spelldic.
  • Make sure the directory name and dictionary file's name have the same prefix.
Take English for example, en_US.aff and en_US.dic should be placed in
 C:\Program Files\IEPro\spelldic\en_US or for Vista 64 bit C:\Program Files(x86)\IEPro\spelldic\en_US
  • Restart Internet Explorer and check if the dictionary has been installed.

It's easier to download the Standalone spelling check dictionary for the IE7Pro 1.x version using http://dl.ie7pro.com/ie7purodl/spelldict_setup_1.0.exe and for the IE7Pro 2.x version using http://dl.ie7pro.com/ie7prodl/spelldict_setup_2.0.exe.

Please download & install the right version. Otherwise it will not work!

[edit] How to use the IEPro Spell Checker

If the IEPro spell checker is installed and functioning correctly, the spell checker will check your spelling as you type. If you misspell a word, the spell checker will underline the word in red. You can right click on the word and select the correct spelling from the menu.

[edit] IEPro Custom Dictionary

If you find that the spell checker has identified a word that you know is spelled correctly, you can right click on the word and select the "Add To Dictionary" menu item to add the word to your custom dictionary. From now on, the spell checker will no longer identify this word as misspelled.

If you add a word to the custom dictionary but later decide that you would like to remove it, right click in any edit field and select the "Spell Languages >" menu item, then select "Edit Custom Dictionary..." from the fly-out menu. This will display a dialog in which you can add, delete, and edit words in your custom dictionary.
